In the 1890s, flamboyant Henry Paget arrives on Anglesey, North Wales, to claim his inheritance as the Fifth Marquess. Alongside his spirited cousin Lily and loyal butler Gelert, Henry’s theatrical eccentricities charm the locals but scandalise the elite. As he fights to carve out a unique identity, he must navigate stifling traditions, greedy relatives, and his late father's cold legacy.

Before Madfabulous, catch Access Denied—a short film about inclusion, written by and starring Rachel-Ann Osborn. The semi-autobiographical story follows Martha, a disabled lesbian who turns Pride’s inaccessibility into community connection. Created with TAPE Community Music and Film in North Wales, known for its inclusive, advocacy-led filmmaking.

Pre-film Talk: Tuesday 9 June
Before the 7pm screening of Madfabulous on Tuesday 9 June, Dr Lowri Ann Rees and Dr Mari William from the History Department of Bangor University will give a short talk on the 5th Marquis Henry Cyril Paget and Plas Newydd. The talk starts at 7:00pm, followed by the film at 7:30pm.
