As part of Bangor Universities celebration of International Women’s Day the Symphony Orchestra are performing some of the best works by some of the greatest female composers. Grace Williams of course connected with our part of the world and Lili Boulanger the accomplished French Impressionist Composer introduce the centre piece by Amy Beach, an American Symphony drawing influences from the Folk tunes of the Celtic Nations. We are looking forward to our newly commissioned piece which will be selected from a competition encouraging Welsh Female Composers.
