Based on the cult web series Nirvanna the Band the Show (2007) and its 2017 TV adaptation, Toronto duo Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol have spent 17 years trying to book a gig at the Rivoli. In 2025, they pose as time travellers from the past to finally get booked—until they accidentally end up in 2008 for real.
